“We the Listening” by Ferrill Gibbs
Autumn, long gone...
Naked trees outside the dorm
Cold now, this town,
a ghost town now that school is out
And I want to be with somebody beside their fire.
Another year of tension
a separated land
This town, my town
will feel all the world's effects...
All I want this year is peace and goodwill among men
All I want this year is peace and goodwill among men
And the eyes of the world - of every boy and girl - alight with fire.
Ding dong... ding dong ...
go the bells in this dead town
All gone, all gone,
are the ears that make the difference
Fingers in them - all gone, all gone
Ding dong, ding dong,
go the bells across the world
I can hear them... I can hear them
We can hear them! We can hear them!
From some lonely distant beacon
We the listening
Ding dong ding ... ding dong ding.
All I want this year is peace and goodwill among men
All I want this year is peace and goodwill among men
All I want this year is peace and goodwill among men
All I want this year is peace and goodwill among men...
